Transforming Truths
Ephesians 3:14-21 - This first sermon in my transforming truth series addresses the most fundamental of truths - God loves us. If we get that one on straight, then we will be well on our way.
Luke 7, Psalm 103:1-22 - In this lesson, we learn about the wonder of forgiveness, what it feels like to be forgiven, and witness the forgiveness of the sinful woman in Luke 7.
Ephesians 2:1-10 - In addition to being loved and forgiven by God, it is important that we understand that we are not saved because of what we do, but because of what God has done for us. We are saved by grace.
2 Corinthians 5:6-10 - Even though we are saved by grace, God will still hold us accountable for our actions.
Psalm 146:1-10 - Today’s transforming truth is the fact that we can be good citizens, and that ultimately, God requires that we strive to be good citizens. This sermon’s goal is to give us some perspective on God’s principles for citizenship.
2 Timothy 2:20-21 - We Christians know who we are and why we are here and where we are going. God has given us both general purposes and specific purposes to live for.
1 Peter 4:10-11 - We need to discover our specific SHAPE so that we will know what kinds of service God has ordained for us.
1 Corinthians 10:1-13 - The reality is that we will all be tempted. The good news is that we have remedies that can help us overcome temptation.
Hebrews 13:5-6 - We can overcome our fears through our dependence on God.
Daniel 4:34-37 - God is God and our job is to submit ourselves to His will and His ways.
Psalm 100:1-5 - God not only expects His people to be thankful, He enables them to do so.
Matthew 6:25-33 - We can trust that God will take care of our needs.
Matthew 5:14-16 - In this lesson we explore this important truth and talk about how to draw others to Christ.
Romans 13:8-10 - Love is the guiding principle for followers of Jesus. Although we might try to complicate the issues, what God requires from us is not complicated - Love God and Love your Neighbor.
Philippians 4:13 - Last sermon in this series. What could be more positive than "I can do all things through Christ"?
